The AG-WaMED project is co-organizing an International Online course on “Water Harvesting through Small Agricultural Reservoirs for sustainable water management”
The course is organized by the Water Harvesting Lab, at University of Florence, the Institution coordinating the project.
The online professional training course will deal with Small Agricultural Reservoirs as a tool for sustainable and resilient water management. Such structures are widely used in different parts of the world, from Southern America to Europe and East Asia. Even if their adoption is widespread, multiple challenges are still to be solved for their management, related to the planning of new small reservoirs, their potential for a multipurpose use, the problems given by excessive evapotranspiration due to climate change and siltation and the legal issues that farmers can have for their management.
All the lessons will be streamed live and recorded for the students who cannot attend. Lessons will be given by international experts.
Free places are available for
- Phd Students at the University of Florence (3)
- Research and teaching staff and fellows from the departments that approved the course (3)
